Our Heart’s Story

Amelia Rose Senior Care Cottage was birthed out of our own personal experiences. We understand and know first hand what it feels like to have the need for safe and compassionate residential care for a Loved One. We faced that challenge. We cared for our parents as long as we could. It was shortly after our mom was diagnosed with Dementia that we had to seek 24 hour non-medical assisted residential care. Looking for a home away from home wasn’t easy. Here at Amelia Rose Senior Care Cottage, we have created a home-like Residential Care Facility with everything we desired for our parents and much more. Our home is a vision realized.

At some point in life, we all have to face the task of making important decisions in doing what’s best for our Elderly Loved Ones. Amelia Rose Senior Care Cottage is a faith-based residential assisted living, 6 bed home. We offer well rounded customized activities, personalized true care for the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of each resident. We want our Residents to thrive in whatever stage of life they are living. It’s our desire to come alongside families and help with the transition to assisted living. When You or a Loved One can no longer care for themselves, live alone or require a higher level of care, WE ARE HERE FOR YOU! It’s our mission and purpose to help the Elderly thrive in Residential Care.

As the Facility Administrator (Certified in 2018), my background is in Public Health & Safety. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Environmental & Occupational Health Science. I have been employed by the County for over 26 years and 4 of those years as a Social Worker /Case Manager. I have extensive knowledge in Health & Safety Codes and Regulations. One of my main job duties include sanitation health inspections. I have experience working with people of all different nationalities and backgrounds. I am a Registered Environmental Health Specialist in the State of California. I understand the operational and personal sides to residential care.

As long as I can remember, I have always had a heart for the Elderly. I remember as a child going to the local nursing homes and singing Christmas carols. I remember quite vividly the faces of the Residents and how they would light up with joy. Throughout my life I have maintained friendships with seniors. I love to hear their stories and learn more about their journeys. My favorite Senior of all was my Mom, Donnie Rose Amelia! I was her number one Advocate. It was my great pleasure to be one of her Caregivers and eventually her Conservator. Our care home is a place where Seniors matter. It’s personal for us and we are dedicated in meeting and exceeding your care needs.
